Anti-cheat software and features.
Hello, i wanted to ask about the below snippet from your EULA:
"Please note the software of our Game(s) may contain Cheat Detection software or features".

Could you please explain what is the current cheat detection software or what are you planning to implement? Will this game have a kernel level cheat detection software?

I'm hoping not kernel-level, because then us Linux players would be left out.

I suppose this its a chinese game (from the name of the developers team) so 99% they will use ACE / Tencent kernel anticheat.
Edit: im sure in the future they will be forced to write kernel anticheat for linux, because M$ destroyed themselves with Win11 xD
Im a 100% linux user. Best distros for newbies are Mint or Kubuntu (based Debian) for expert users i suggest Manjaro (based Arch) they are the best for gaming :D
EasyAntiCheat

ACE = tresh for run dot not to Vertual machine PC ACE = Tresh
FYI it does run on Steam Deck, proton experimental. It doesn't like mangohud though, so if you get crashes just remove any overlays or launch params.
AC in 2024 = useless, no need to add one.
Just have a special server for some countries, and it will be all good.
As long as the anticheat works without degrading performance I don't care what it is. Gamers have no one to blame but themselves for intrusive anticheat.

How did you get keyboard input to work so you could enter a user name?
I used remote play from a different device and pasted in a name, it doesn’t like switching between controller and keyboard on the deck.
This company is not owned by Tencent.
But if it's EAC, no cheating can be prevented. Non kernel anti cheat programs are just useless, and people will complain about cheaters everywhere.
Another game with EAC malware. Why developers assume that people use separate machines for gaming and every day stuff like bank accounts logins, medical/goverment sites and so on?
The cheaters are coming. They're bored of Warzone and Apex Legends.

I cant get past the name part. It wont let me name my character. Help?

here's a list of kernel-level anti-cheats that I don't see anyone complain about.

BattlEye
Used in games like Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, and DayZ.

Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC)
Utilized by games such as Apex Legends, Dead by Daylight, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Vanguard
Developed for Valorant by Riot Games.

XIGNCODE3
Found in games like TERA, Black Desert Online, and CABAL Online.

PunkBuster
One of the older anti-cheat systems, used in games like Battlefield series and Call of Duty series.

Ricochet Anti-Cheat
Introduced by Activision for the Call of Duty franchise.

FairFight
A real-time cheat detection system used in games like Battlefield 4 and Star Wars Battlefront II (although it is not strictly kernel-level, it often works in conjunction with kernel-level solutions).

GameGuard
Used in various MMORPGs like Lineage II and Phantasy Star Online 2.

Protect Game
A lesser-known anti-cheat system used by certain online games.
