Random freezes during the game

Good evening,

I experience random freezes during the game. It happens during daytime while exploring the house or characters' memories: while I walk, the game freezes. I manage to unfreeze it the first time by pressing CTRL+ALT+CANC, going back to Windows desktop and then back to the game, but then it freezes again after few minutes and the trick doesn't work anymore, because - instead of freezing again - my character is stuck on walking, like the W button is always pressed.

I'm on Win 8.1 x64, all requirements met and drivers updated.

I was forgetting: my video card is a nVidia GeForce GT 520MX.

Sorry for the reply, I have an update: using the integrated video card (the Intel HD 3000 integrated in my Core i7) the game works flawlessly, while the issues I had before occurred with the nVidia card.

Dang, very sorry to hear that. I haven't heard of that happening before, but from your description it sounds like a problem with your main video card. I don't see anything out of the ordinary in your save file, and the fact that the game works fine under your other video card leads me to believe it's an issue specific to the 520MX. Possibly a hardware issue, given that you have the latest drivers.

Have you had any issues with freezes or other crashes in other games? Are you able to play the game well enough with the Intel HD 3000 as a workaround?

I haven't had any problems since then, I'm playing it flawlessly.
As for the other games, mine is not an high-end video card, so it's always suffered of high fatigue on heavy games, but now I'm thinking this is not good even for Pac-Man! :D
