The first fix you should always try when something goes wrong with an unmodded game is verifying the integrity of the game's files. To do this, right click on the game in your library and select Properties. Next click Installed Files, it's in there. Let it do its thing, and once it's done try running the game again.
If verifying the integrity doesn't work, you can try a manual reinstall of the game.
You might also want to try checking your antivirus to see of it's blocking something the game needs in order to run. I've seen AV programs do that before, though it's pretty rare.
the game and it doesnt work
By menu, I assume you mean Steam's menu, and not in-game?
What are your specifications? CPU, GPU, RAM? Like here's mine:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X 6-core @ 3.6 GHz
GPU: NVidia GeForce RTX 2060 (8 GB DDR5)
RAM: 32 GB DDR4
Basically I'm asking if you checked the Steam store page to make sure your PC is up to the task of running the game.
Unfortunately I don't really know much about this game, so there's not a whole lot I can do other than try a few diagnostics and fixes I've seen work for other games.
My specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F
VGA: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Eagle OC
RAM: 32Gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 Mhz
COOLING: NZXT Kraken x52
MB: MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS
PSU: bequiet! 700W
Edit: It's the save game. It's corrupted somehow. Delete it and you can play again. Sucks if you already put some hours into it.
Path: C:\Users\*UserName*\AppData\Local\DrugLordTycoon\Saved
Hit Win+R type %appdata%, go back one folder and open the Local folder. You should see the DrugLordTycoon folder.
