After playing the first and all expansions, it was horrible to see how 2 was dumbed down to a level where a monkey could play it.
Did it regain some of its depth with the many iterations? Is the unit limit still so laughably low? Is there modding support now to remedy that if it's the case?
Modding support: Currently there is an editor available and you can edit all scripts. We will probably announce more mod support including Workshop in the future.
For SpellForce 3 the plan is to properly mix RTS and RPG especially with keeping the complexity of an RPG - going back to the depth of SpellForce 1 but even more balanced.
(Would be even better though if there was a demo version of the game)
Well, I cant confirm it as we have to change our code architecture a bit but its something we are exploring.
Workshop support for full game of course.
The best tl;dr I could give is: Think Dawn of War 2 meets Spellforce.
So does this mean that alle the previous attributes for characters in SF1 will be back in SF3 ?
There is widescreen support in Spellforce 2.
Change the resolution in the ini and there is also a console command for changing the camera FOV.
For 16:9
ctrl + ] opens console. type UI:SetCameraFOV(1.027) then press enter and ESC to leave console.
Not sure what the FOV number is for 16:10.
