Faith in destiny was pretty short and if you look at the reviews you'll see that most people consider this to be the worse game in the entire series. Although it does have extra scenarios that you can purchase as DLC.
Demons of the past is an improvement on FID(that's not saying much). It has slightly better graphics but largely the same user interface and gameplay.
So to answer your question Anniversary Edition is the best to play through, at least in my opinion. It's also the cheapest of the three at the moment yet gives you more playing time.
Thanks! I own everything SpellForce related. But I’ve only played about half way through SF3. I’d like to try one of the SF2 titles but didn’t know which one had the best playthrough...hence my post.
