They really did not give a crap about porting this and making the controls remotely coherent. I've spent hours trying to make sense of the control configs and it's as perfect as I could get it. Half the time, the left ability button would activity the right ability, the right ability would activate the top ability, top ability would activate the bottom ability.
But I got it all working comfortably and sensible for myself EXCEPT my left ability requiring TWO ability buttons being held and there's NOTHING I can do to fix it properly without making another disaster out of my ability buttons.
The control customization in-game is useless and doesn't even have the majority of buttons you can and have to use for controller input, let alone in general.
Is there any sane, non-paint-thinner-huffing reason for this?
Edit: Got if fixed, on my PC, an old controller was still listed in my bluetooth settings and the game thought it fit to use that controller as the current one (despite not even being connected). As soon as i kicked that off the list, it worked. Very odd port indeed.
