This is basically Phantasy Star Online with mechas. You never have hondreds of enemies that just just mash through like DW. I'd compare combat more to a very simple Devil May Cry.

I've been playing for 100+ hr and just barely unlocked endgame
the quest rotation and loot does feel similar to Monster Hunter, albeit different gameplay altogether (more like Phantasy Star series, yea)
