add me as well!
So is this gamne completely dead? I remember playing it with some mate on the 360, never got it on Steam for some reason. It's a shame when niche, but interesting games die. Like Shattered Horizons... zero G FPS with fast hardcore gameplay and semi-realistic space physics, easy to play but requires skill and tactics to be good, lots of absolutely gorgeous maps, no bugger plays it. :( Bloody Good Time has a crap name, and is a bit dorky TBH, but it's a really fun experience that anybody who's even so much as seen a cheap horror movie will understand. Like The Ship, it's a fun "murder" experience based on a cross-media genre (slasher films/horror B-moives and 20s period murder mystery being those genres.)

I know loads of people who's be into a game where they can play archetypical parts from those kinds of genres, but with nobody to play against and, honestly, a farily steep learning curve for non-FPS players (and let's be real, most FPS players will ignore games like this in favours of CS:GO/Insurgency, one of these Neo-Arena FPS games, or CoD/Blacklight... maybe ARMA if they're really hardcore or Reciever if they're even more into the realistic guns and love obscure indie games with a mind-♥♥♥♥ story that casually goes full meta) the setbacks are more than the average gamer or even non-gamer will put up with. Which is a shame, with a little more work on accessibility and pacing (I found the average round was a mix between frantic dashes to get ♥♥♥♥ and plan for my next round, and then running around like a paranoid maniac trying to avoid bad ♥♥♥♥ and kill ♥♥♥♥ I was meant to while not being killed, but the average new player's experiences was be confused, be confused some more, die a hundred million time, defenestrate computer) I could see this "genre" of game being the most popular form of online gaming among all groups (by which I mean that it may not draw in all gamers, but out of the general population a virtual murder mystery/shodunnit game would have the most appeal and if done right and with the correct media buzz couold become one of those gaming phenomenons that appeals to both hardcore and casual gamers, gamers who are neither or inbetween, and a large cross-section of non-gamers.)

because so many people have seen things featuring these kinds of characters and plots, and they all have idea about what they'd do and how it should all happen, a lot like the survival genre and specifically the zombie survival genre, especially in the wake of Day-Z. That is what this kind of game needs, somehting that puts it on the map and explains thoroughly what it is about. Maybe if Let's Plays were as big when The Ship came out as they are now it would have become a whole mini-genre of computer game. Our culture will never know it's loss (lel, but also actually.)
I will play if you want
