Snow vs Steep (Side-by-side Comparison video included!)
Hey guys!

Just made a few videos today showing off the new Winter Sports games coming out in the next few weeks! The main one is below, showing off the differences between the two games in a comparison video including some side-by-side stuff.

https://youtu.be/_8nQtnYpjo8

Do also check out my other videos too on these games, I've made one on both Steep and Snow this evening, making it a very busy day of recording overall!

Do also like the videos and subscribe to the channel for more content like this! I do love a release of a hyped game, and these videos can show the people the quality of these games and others they can be keeping an eye out on!

how can you compare . . . . you have a total of 1.8 hours playing SNOW :\ not to mention a very small production team for SNOW vs a AAA game empire. :Lacerator:

Just to comment on something specifically, the footage for snow there was quite slow & you said snow was slower-paced a few times.

Technically that's not entirely true, but in steep it -does- seem to be alot easier to gain speed and keep it on gentler slopes or flat areas, which is one of snow's shortcomings.

You can still go fast in snow, to the point that it can be pretty hard to control, but it demands that you go down much steeper (ha) surfaces.

The controls definitely look different though, if not very forgiving in terms of landings.
And yeah the graphics are wonderful - but then again it's ubisoft's billion dollar devs vs like 8~ish? people for snow.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how things play out, especially with infinite air on the radar too.

Eh, one is just fast(er) page! :D

I forgot about Infinate Air! All it's customisation of ramps and so forth would be good, but I do feel that they should go for an Open or even Closed BETA to show off their stuff, as Ubisoft doing it on Steep definitly will help sales of the game!

It's like comparing tony hawk and skate. And SNOW gameplay feels slow, because you need learn and get used to the game.

Nothing to see here folks. move along.

Eh, (They're*)
It looks like you're here trying to promote yourself on youtube asking for likes and subs to your youtube channel which is advertising. I didn't bother to even watch your vids and don't really care to either because you have zero experience in SNOW for a start and you're trying to compare the two games and posting about Steep in the SNOW discussion which is rude to start with, I do not see this thread in the Steep discussion . . . to me it looks like you're trying to downgrade SNOW by comparing it with Steep, a ready for release AAA game. I mean really, what were you thinking ? :steammocking:

whish there would be a sequel to the game stoked from 2006. That was the best freeride snowboard simulation yet. (the original pc game from bongfish, not that crappy alaska alien version)

Honestly didn't realise there was one when I posted this - Thanks! :D

Steep is dumbed down Snow with worst trick mechanics, stick with Snow people.
QcMetalHead Nov 13, 2016 @ 5:22pm
SNOW is free while steep doesnt look MUCH better and is 80 bucks -_-
Hail indy games!
Cdub Nov 14, 2016 @ 10:18am
Thanks for posting the videos to show some of the highlights in both games.

steep seems to be getting massive positive traction and is probably going to be the new go to snowboard/skii/aerial type of game, it's probably not the best place to post this because i think it'll only get bashed here. lol

Steep is only getting so much attention just because it's a triple A title...

Or because you don't clip in to the floor and die when you go over a jump, it has ragdoll when you fail landing or hit an obstacle, has wingsuits & paragliding, snow deformation, much larger mountain (and that's only what's playable in the beta just now, much more on release), accessories & items you buy with money you earn in game, g-force system (so you don't do a 200 m drop and land like nothing happened), a better map view/spawnpoint selection, better tutorial, it's much more enjoyable overall. It's like snow but without ♥♥♥♥ microtransactions and with better physics. It doesn't matter if the games are made by 8 people or 8000 people, steep is better, you can justify why snow is worse by using that reason but that doesnt make snow a better game.

yeah go build a car alone vs a couple of people.. It's the same.. You are comparing indie devs with a UBI company come to real life idiot...
