Lets just say offline could be moddable.
What i meant to say is if the game would have offline mode it could be easily modable.
And to be fair, actually make us pay for the game, remove required microtransactions, and you can easily get servers that are better than a 20 year old server room, and. I am not sure why anyone would play multiplayer, now over LAN and friend that want to play together I could understand, but rather than keep your servers that give us a buggy mess, make a smaller, better server set, that is just made for say, 12 player servers. And that would be good, but no. Instead they have a server that can barely keep a connection, drops you most of the time, and is, no matter what, sleet, rain, snow, or hellfire, R E Q U I R E D
I have never seen a game with or without multiplayer that needs me to have a 110% clear cut, no trees in the way, connection. Tbh, I've never seen a game that requires a connection to it's servers to play, period!
You do know that SNOW currently have only just a basic multiplayer? Devs mentioned that 1.0 will be more MP focused so we should expect better connections etc. But don't take my word as i only know it will be MP focused. Those games you mentioned aren't f2p. That's the problem, there are no f2p games that doesn't require connection to the server, how devs suppose to get fundings? Devs mentioned that they were discusing about free2play, pay2play options and the final result was f2p.
That is why I mentioned, set it to like 10$ or somethin, so that they can actually pay for better servers. And like I said, I am not sure who plays the MP besides couch play and friends over steam. Drop the servers, make them better, and remove the need for a connection just to be able to play the SP. Look at MGSV; a 60$ game, it is heavied on online use, atleast 60% of in-game materials can come from the online gain. And if you play offline you are on a disadvantage. No FOB missions, which aren't required, no rewards, but they can wait. Like I said a large portion of the materials are gained on the online and are lost if offline. But, even though Konami tried to ♥♥♥♥ it up with MGSO, it's still working, you aren't at a huge disadvantage. They're system is rather ok, it can sustain a connection most of the time. But with SNOW, your connection is dropped frequently. While this can happen in MGSV, it doesn't cancel your mission, ignore everything you gained, and force you to use Task Manager to quit the game because you are now stuck in a endless loading screen due to the fact that it doesn't retry the connection most of the time.
