It isn't a case of git gud, it's a case of get good. Ie don't worry about buying gear until you're confident you're capable of taking down people in equal or greater gear. Just go in with the bare minimum, stash what you want, trade what you don't to players if it's green or better. Have fun, practice, try out any strats you might think could give you an edge, learn what the flasks do and when to use them, throw stuff at walls and see what sticks.
Let that gold build up and then when you know what you're doing you'll have the money stashed to roll for gear that comes with good gstats, which are what really make a piece of gear good or not.
Don't pressure yourself to BE good, give yourself the leeway to BECOME good.
Being able to make use of your passive abilities, so you can learn what your chosen class is capable of is supposed to be part of having fun while playing the game
This. This right here.
This is why I ragequit and I am so glad I dodged this trash bullet.
Enjoy your game, for those of who you like this kinda stuff. A lot of people are going to like it, but way more are going to be turned off by it.
For starters I'd say walk before you can run, and if you REALLY want gear for passives that bad to learn, just wait at a boss with some thunder/stone flasks and throw one when you see a guy take the first hit of the combo. Usually that's a death and some free gear right there. And they're essentially free to craft. Just make a couple of runs for some flasks and profit. No need to even fight. You can make enough for a full purple gear set, at least on my server, for what you'll get in 1-3 successful runs.
It's just better to sell the gear and get worthwhile stuff than lose bad gear and be upset because it's all you have. I haven't even brought real gear into a fight yet, just the worthless int stuff to push me up to higher gear score lobbies, and I have a stash half full of purple sets, and I'll sell the useless ones tomorrow at peak times, start buying at around this time when no one's on on my server and the gear is cheap, keep rerolling til I get good gear, start fighting for real.
So, we don't have to deal with the cowards who do that!
Classy or not, everyone in purple gear looks the same. Flasks aren't there by accident and nobody ever said a rogue had to be classy.
As long as I have a choice, that kind of behavior can kiss every square inch of my arse!
Completely up to you. People are anxious about losing gear, I tell them to try without gear, people want to bring gear and are upset they can't maintain a level of gear that gives them passives, I give them ways to consistently get gear from square 1 starting with nothing to do that so they never go without. Like it, dislike it, do it, don't do it, whatever you want.
Idk why you're being so hostile over someone offering help though. Good help, that'll get you absolutely loaded without even having to kill anyone so you CAN enjoy the game however you want when you have money.
Look at the way you're talking, and have been talking, my guy.
Oh and your advice was to become the same kind of person, that ruined PvP for me and I refuse. I'll never be that kind of person and ruin someone else's gaming experience
Yeah, this, complete hostility with all this "ruining everyone's experience" stuff and all this calling people cowards because you're upset that you died in a pvp game and lost loot.
Don't get mad, get even, or don't, but don't get mad.
