Still cannot play DaD personally, it looks awful. Dunno whats about it being so ugly, but I find games like Arx Fatalis much better looking and I am not picky about graphical side of the games.

Also most of ur arguments are invalid if u consider that DaD had several years to build up a community and DUngeonborne had nearby the same player count as such a game like bro ur making a big clown out of urself here.
You serious? DaD has been in open development for 4 years....
Dungeonborne had a name change, and their test plays were way more restricted. DaD had big open play tests, while Crawler or whatever it was called before Dungeonborne had very small specific play tests and a lot less of them than DaD.
This allowed DaD to get that cult like following.
