This was a perfect summary thank you :) exactly what I was looking for.
You don't need to add an apostrophe just because there's an S at the end of a word.
You use it to show possession - Tim's ball.
Or you use it to show that word has been shortened - does not becomes doesn't.
Such changes was basically over nerf rogues, make red circle deadlier "against squishy classes" (which let druid become the better rat rogue), also made classic mode requiring GS of 15 instead of 8, that was before the fully MM rework
i also remember some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the legendaries, before, it was time locked, meaning once a specific legendary drop, wait 32 or 48 REAL HOURS before you could get another one, it was per server i think
Which obviously lead to a group of people creating a group/server on discord and basically told each other if they got a legendary and when, and so could basically control the drop of such rarity, and created a monopoly
TL:DR Reason as to why people quit dungeonborne is because not only the company took way too much times fixing ♥♥♥♥, but they also fixed what wasn't broken, "they have a vision for their game" and sadly their vision doesn't seem take into account players opinions
And now imagine average player playing many hours to get money for some regular purple gear.He enters classic mode and then get destroyed with 1 hit by sweatlord without any chance.
I wish I could make your answer go up with the answered pin too. Thank you for explaining even more!
And also many teamers in solo lobbys.ppls writing about them on on steam discussions,at discord channel(where devs have special chat for cheaters and other unfair players),so you can send proofs there and they get banned.but same teamers are playing months witohut any punishment, when clear players sometimes get bans without any reason. That's so unfair to go solo lobby with 200k gear and then just die to 3 ppls team
If Marauders is any indication. This game is dead dead. People don't come back to games like this once they move past it. The Cycle Frontier is a perfect example of this. Season 1 they had ZERO Anti Cheat, literally.. 95% of the player base left.. They then implemented still to this day, the best Anti Cheat system I've ever seen in any game.. EVER... and nobody came back after 2 more seasons and it shut down despite great changes.
Unfortunately, despite how much this game had in potential. They've already 100% screwed themselves, and now the devs are just diluting themselves into thinking its salvageable because they can't yet admit to themselves, they destroyed their only chance.
Based off of Marauders, The Cycle Frontier, and now this game. I'm probably never going to look back. The biggest problem again being the fact that nobody wants to be the guinea pig either if it does get better, sitting in 30 minute wait Q's for weeks in the hopes more players pick it up. Thus.. The end is the end. Unless a major resurgence happens.
That's honestly the problem with gamers and extraction games these days.. They see every game with pvP like a COD, with extra mechanics tact on, rather than a game, with PvP in it.
The game has always been fun and fine, it's just people are too salty about PvP and losing their gear.
What really ended this game was the September 29th update, which made it impossible to join Classic mode, and forced you to do Casual mode wearing nothing but default gear.
The economy was destroyed.
The price of ordinary gear TRIPLED 3x for which the new players could not afford, so ultimately they could never do Classic mode which is where all the fun was.
They removed the cool bosses from Casual mode. <--dumb idea
They ruined this game on purpose in my opinion, why did they do it? They listened to feedback from die-hard Dark and Darker trolls who had only one objective.
Destroy this game. <-- Objective
Why would a bunch of DnD trolls waste their time coming here in the forums to be salty if DnD was so much better??
The reality is that we got a game that was extremely better than DnD, and it was deemed to good for us, so they destroyed it.
There is an evil woke force dictating that all games should be lame and gheyy, and when something actually cool comes around, they destroy it.
I played 5 minutes of DnD, and uninstalled immediately it was so bad, and nothing compared to Dungeonborne.
Do you understand now? They want to kill gaming and gamers off, by making our content lame as phuck.
These developers could have easily patched within a few weeks after that update when they realized they broke their matchmaking system.
They still have not updated anything, and never will, especially after the massive negative feedback from people.
The sad thing about this whole situation, is that it seems that there are sad individuals that wanted to see this game and community go downhill and die, and they got their victory.
" it's just people are too salty about PvP and losing their gear." - Not at all. It's not a problem when you loose just because you made a mistake or your enemy just outplayed you. That's fair gameplay. After all those fights you just get better. You analize your looses, you think about what you could do better, how you could outplay him, what you did wrong. And then you just gain experience and grow as a player. That's part of online games and that's not a problem.Problem comes when you can't kill other player just because he has better gear.when you don't even have a chance against him. When you meet your enemy, you parry his attacks, block, throw potions, use surroudings, dashes, movement, hit him many times and then you die and see he has 80-90% hp left.and then you spectate him and see his rly good expensive gear with legos (40gs+) while you has 15 gs with only 3 reliques and gray stuff. And you understand that this loose is not your fault,it's not about skill or better game experience.you lost this agame when you entered in 1 lobby with this guys. You lost this from the very beginning untill game even started.
Not sure why the devs have not:
a) provided some incentive for folks to keep each other alive, small time bonus, (no clue about the lore of the world) but XY saint, demon whomever gifts you something cuz you did not kill anyone.
b) place the PVP behind a timer. Either time, or XY monsters need be killed.
c) make the maps bigger spawn points randomized all the time and shift them between matches, min max distance between spawn points. At least 1 minute should be required to reach another player's spawn point.
Sadly you missed one. very.single.little.thing : "it is not compatible with our vision of the game"
If you re-check all of the patchs they've made, you realise they wanted to reach a very specific goal : make another battle royale game
Rat tactics? nerfed harshly, spawn points exploit? never changed, they almost never changed the PvE which tend to say they focus on PvP mostly
Hell, just look at the 29 september patch, loot drops severely reduced, everyone forced to same rarity within same lobby, monster artificially harder, created adventurer ranks with PvP in mind, those changes was made to incentivise killing each other "don't bother with looting monsters, looting players is much more easier and more rewarding"
I might be wrong, but they tend to prove me right, otherwise why they made their game P"ve"vP when their focus was mostly about PvP? probably to attract oblivious PvE players to artificially bump their player numbers and give freash meat for the PvP addicts and sweatlords
