Is the DRM safe?

hello, I'm not the most tech savvy person so I just felt I should ask. Is the DRM on this game safe? Will it break anything? I ask because I've heard stories of how companies will install DRM onto their games to combat piracy and it's like admin/top level security in your system. Just basically malware that never goes away even if you uninstall the game and it breaks the whole computer or it causes the game to become unplayable. Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced such things with this game or if it's just smooth sailing! Thanks :)

DRM is usually for piracy protection.

Online Only games can rarely be pirated and require the pirates to set up private servers and I dont think anyone has done that for this game, on top of that the game is free, I dont see any reason to put up DRM protection when the main reason for piracy is not wanting to pay the game.

Anti Cheats can cause problems but I havent ever encountered any anti cheat related problem
