because this game is like, a copy of it?

because this game is a copy and a ripoff for the more casual players who can't play DaD? I mean the studio is even owned by tencent a chinese super corporation. Read between the lines

The game was trying to capitalize on DnD being off steam and ever since DnD came back the devs have taken shots at DnD every update they announced. As a result a large chunk of the most involved players are actively mad about DnD. I do feel this is more a problem with the Dungeonborne devs being super unprofessional and petty more than the players themselves.

How is it a rip off? This game actually has a combat system XD.

I haven't tried DB but the combat seemed underwhelming. How does it "actually" have a combat system?

This is kinda what I mean about the devs encouraging bad actors lol, very hard to find people comparing the games without being disingenous. You should try DB and see because it's free, but for what it's worth in my experience the technical depth added by power attacks and expanded blocking is massively overstated and ends up with less depth overall due to the hitboxes being so much less accurate and maps less interesting.

I find Dark and Darker has a rather toxic playerbase.
I saw DaD streamer trying Dungeonborne and they got harassed and called traitors.
We have people here in this forum and on discord that spread negativity on a daily basis (Hi CatMan)
It sometimes reminds me of religious conflicts.
That said the jabs at DaD's shard monetization were unnecessary.

Speaking of reviews, the topic from yesterday that put optics on the fact that there are a ton of fake positive reviews for this game by bot accounts got deleted for some reason

I also thought the reviews were a bit sketchy.

I saw that and sorted by new and didn't see any suspicious ones. I would be pretty interested in seeing some screenshots if they exist though!

Solely for the Dark and Darker community i would avoid it played it like 100hrs before i played the first dungeonborne playtest and overall Dungeonborne is a way nicer experience and less frustrating. Also the Dark and Darker devs do nearby nothing to miniminze the ammount of toxicity in the game imagine i got reported in the forum for saying a player name who ran arround ingame and shouted the whole game some racist stuff in the lobby checked him then and that guy had even the pre order bonuses meaning he is doing that probably for a very long time.

There isn't a pre order bonus in DaD. There was an edition called hold the line or something like that and it gave you cosmetics and later gave you access to the test servers.

Don't hold high hopes for this game not also being toxic. I'd already wager the communities are equally bad or Dungeonborne is even worse.

Because Dark and Darker says it's free to play but this one is a True free to play you literally pay nothing to play the whole game for free, unlike the uglier graphics and horrible mechanics dark and darker which says free but you can't have stash or other carachter and have to pay $40 unlike Dungeonborn which excels on every level and has tons of features for FREE

rock paper scissors.

rock = charged attack
paper = attack
scissors = block
