If you like flying cars than play a game with it and dont ask in the Chivalry forums for it
Have in mind that you can meet the Mithril Order (100% PvP focused players) in casual games, so always try to avoid them, as there's no point in fighting them, they are there to simply hunt you down (unless I'm wrong?).
So, as you can see, you can play almost a PvE-only mode, thinking of the other players like they are just some assassin mobs that you have to avoid in order to survive. It's mainly the mindset.
I like to think of these games like they are just isekai world with Adventurer's Guild, where you enter the dungeons to complete guild missions, earn gold and improve your skills (character progression), meanwhile other players are just some other toxic adventurers that like to rob others (just like in some isekais). Sometimes if you encounter someone you can see that they aren't willing to fight either, think of them as they are the good adventurers who are there to do their missions and rise in power alone.
i doubt they paid big streamers a ton of money, because i've seen enough "typical" streamers not playing it that long. drops are also basically active on every channel i think. they were on my channel and they give me personally literally nothing. they only had that special flask skin to have a way to get some money to streamers. again, i had that same active on my channel. so i guess any affiliate had it.
the only way that big streamers will make money is by doing the event and having the most viewers and at least 7 days streamed with 2 hrs minimum afaik. i streamed over 3 and it didn't recognise it yet. so there's that. a publisher might not have done that event and just paid each 5k or whatever to play it for a set amount of time. so if the big streamers are not playing over the next week or more, they don't care for the money they could get.
kinda the obvious decision to use that anti-cheat. this game uses Unreal Engine 5... i think that explains it enough. ;)
pve - cry, add pvp
pvp - cry, add pve
If i wanna play mandatory pvp i would search for, if it tell "single player" i expect it to be at worst co-op, not pvp.
