As well as the only real way to get good gear since the "free" market randomizes the stats on any gear you buy
Pretty much doing the same P2W as DaD: you have to pay up irl cash to make more gold to buy gear that gives you an advantage in a PvP game
And since it's an auction, only those that pay up will actually have the gold -from being able to sell- to compete in buying gear, always winning bids over those that don't pay up irl cash since they will have more gold than them
It was the only thing that bothered me about DaD, didnt care about locked classes and stash
And also why they priced the game so high, since they were selling the ability to win than to play
Dont care how low it's priced, P2W is P2W. Making it affordable will not change the fact that it is still in the game and solidify it's incorporation in future games by making it acceptable now (same way MTXs got normalized)
This is only partially true, you can buy stuff on the auction without buying the moonstone upgrade.
and to answer the OP's question it's a one time thing and it only enables you the ability to sell stuff on the auction, otherwise you can use it to buy stuff from there and bid on stuff without the upgrade.
