Barring positioning, the instances I come out on top of the exchange is like this:
Charge up sword & shield heavy attack, block first few hits of flurry, they either realize you're guarding and charge their own power attack, you release as they release their own heavy, blocking it while connecting yours. Or they just keep spamming lmb, wait until the entire animation is done, release.
You get caught in a positon where you can't stop their heavy attack, interrupt it with grab. If you are running mace, you will probably spend your grab early, since mace heavy takes longer to charge compared to sword & shield.
But all that aside, it's what the poster above said. Not much counter to a DK abusing life on hit with dual swords.
Yes, absolutely, they just need to change the entire combat system to something else. Great idea. Surely that's something that they can just do, without setting their production schedule back for a year. Just make a completely different system. Brilliant. I can't believe they didn't think of that.
