Best,
This is true...when in the pregame I run around and see every team is 2 mages and a druid...it is cringe.
Some classes however need a bit of adjustment, or tweak to be a bit less easy to use, and have more depth. tweaking some cooldowns on instant skills for example.
Can't believe how salty people are
Druid can get invis, get wallhack, summon, and transform yep this topic is just to not nerf his druid when its the most broken thing ever ...
I would say generally buff what is bad instead of nerfing what is good, but you also have to make sure the PVE is balanced as well and not too easy if you just buff everything.
I agree with the idea of preperation > meta. Thats where Dark and Darker shines; this game is much more of a railroaded approach to gear and "build". They need to work in waaay more passive and active ability option otherwise every class has really only 1 build.
Today ive started seeing duo druids and duo swordmaster in games, or druid + sm a lot... its kinda crazy, one panther tags in and deals some dmg (why do panthers seem to hard to hit in melee btw???) then when hes getting low, he just bails from the fight, and the other one tags in. ^^
From my hundred plus games so far, it feels like many of the other classes have a bit of rock paper scissors going on, and would only need minor tweaks here and there, but druid and SM makes it, rock, paper, scissors, lizard, spock, except the lizard is godzilla and spocks got a Glock.....
Ps: You have to play the first test version and meet the Death Kinght to know what a truly broken class is like.
Shields need a stamina system tied to them. Something like arm fatigue. I see a lot of these self-proclaimed "pros" on YouTube/Twitch(which is laughable because it just came out) do nothing but turtle behind a shield, and all the people in this threat complaining you can't block a Pyromancer's Pyroblast, you can, he just aimed at the ground behind you because you're a turtle and that Pyro is just the better player than you. Being able to keep your guard up indefinitely WHILE being able to do basic weapon swings from that position is imbalanced and just isn't fun to fight against. Especially when you factor in that your charge attack puts you in guard stance so you can charge your TWO HIT charge attack, hold it indefinitely, block an enemies full wombo combo and then the moment you see they're about to charge attack to break your guard, just release your charged swing and punish them hard for trying to do anything about your shield. Every hit should wear down a stamina bar until eventually it leaves you staggered and open for a free hit. If you wanna use a shield there should be some risk to it.
Thunderclap potions need to be nerfed big time. 75% move speed reduction for 4 seconds is ludicrous. It basically guarantees that if you get hit by it you've lost the fight. Not to mention for most classes the initial hit does 10% damage on top of everything else. A combo even more broken than Druid right now is Thunderclap Potion + Lightning Staff. Catch them with Thunderclap pot and then while they're slowed drop a Lightning Storm on their head and just watch as they can do absolutely nothing but die.
