Its a good genre and will likely continue to be copied by many more studios.
You misunderstand. I'm not talking about the dungeon-delving genre, I'm talking about this game trying to make it exactly like DnDer with its clunkiness and high lethality,
You being bad at slow punishing games doesn't mean they are poorly designed. please stop acting like they do
inb4 "I don't think that bro, I'm just a pro game dev who hasn't made a game yet understands good design"
Just ignore him dude, he's some major troller, it's gotta be some 15 year old or something for sure, Dark is definitely better than this because it's had more time to cook and hey people are free to enjoy this game if they like it better but i don't see it having any longevity, see what happens with the player base on release and if Dark comes out on Steam
This is simply and objectively a better game. Its really not up for debate, tho youre welcome to your 'digimon opinion' :)
lol if you look at the numbers, DaD lost a LOT of players when this Dungeonbourne demo was released because it was objectively a better game. Sorry DaD died bro.
thanks for the loot.
Again, I do want it to retain somewhat slower gameplay, but not this low tier system of gear being super powerful crap. I also wouldn't be opposed to each class having more abilities. I really disdain that this game copied Dark and Darker so much.
The part of the game that's desireable is the extraction element and the fantasy element, not the clunky combat. Thankfully Dungeonborne's combat is already better than Dark and Darker, but it still has a long way to go to have staying power. Right now the game will never sustain itself long term. Most people who are just looking to have some fun by logging in here and there will quit because of gear issues. The current gear favoritism is not a sustainable model for this type of game.
somebody is trying to justify their DaD purchase lol
