Stop trying to emulate Dark and Darker
Instead of slow and clunky just do the opposite and make it responsive and fun.

Dark and Darker's devs have no idea how to balance their game.

The only way this game succeeds is by focusing on making the game fun and different from the competition.

This game is 10x better than Dark and Darker and is quite popular.

Its a good genre and will likely continue to be copied by many more studios.

You misunderstand. I'm not talking about the dungeon-delving genre, I'm talking about this game trying to make it exactly like DnDer with its clunkiness and high lethality,

Youre welcome to feel that way, but it is objectively better than DaD and its not clunky at all to the skilled players who know how to play it. This is literally a skill issue and all PvP games have them.

Pacing and clunkiness isn't a skill issue, it's a developmental choice. The devs saw that DnDer has a slow pace so they thought they'd make their game the same way.

the characters are faster than DaD and its not clunky at all. youre welcome to feel that way tho, but the skilled players who actually play the game think its fine, and of course the people who ragequit think its not, while their corpse is looted as they uninstall and race to the forums to spill some salt.

It's a lot less clunky then DnDer
You being bad at slow punishing games doesn't mean they are poorly designed. please stop acting like they do

Are you bullying/trolling again? xD you can have your opinion and they can have theirs. The point is some people are gonna like pokemon and others are gonna like digimon. if you like the digimon of dungeon extractions, that is up to you :D you are so hateful of Dark and Darker because and quote. -youre welcome to feel that way tho, but the skilled players who actually play the game think its fine, and of course the people who ragequit think its not, while their corpse is looted as they uninstall and race to the forums to spill some salt- :D

Just ignore him dude, he's some major troller, it's gotta be some 15 year old or something for sure, Dark is definitely better than this because it's had more time to cook and hey people are free to enjoy this game if they like it better but i don't see it having any longevity, see what happens with the player base on release and if Dark comes out on Steam

those asian developers do not understand Dungeons and Dragons and do the weird classes tottally outs of immersion... when entire game trying to utylize something know then - they change names for classes like this stupid swordmaster? who toughs it's str/int class and not str and he use levitation swords.. bad decision. Making everything weird and fancy.. breaking rule of having immersion with classes but making it on a quality of a mobile game when we talk about skills and classes - i can agree.. they ttrying to copy something but they do not understand basics and making some good decision on maps, itemization... but entire game is bad.

I hope to one day have an extraction game with Chivalry-esque combat.

i never bullied anyone and I never said that Dark and Darker was bad. I played it a lot.

This is simply and objectively a better game. Its really not up for debate, tho youre welcome to your 'digimon opinion' :)

lol if you look at the numbers, DaD lost a LOT of players when this Dungeonbourne demo was released because it was objectively a better game. Sorry DaD died bro.

thanks for the loot.

I like it slower, but yeah, it definitely shouldn't be trying to copy Dark and Darker. It should be closer to Chiv 2 or something like that. More about thoughtful gameplay and skilled approach to combat instead of 'lol just get gear'.

Again, I do want it to retain somewhat slower gameplay, but not this low tier system of gear being super powerful crap. I also wouldn't be opposed to each class having more abilities. I really disdain that this game copied Dark and Darker so much.

The part of the game that's desireable is the extraction element and the fantasy element, not the clunky combat. Thankfully Dungeonborne's combat is already better than Dark and Darker, but it still has a long way to go to have staying power. Right now the game will never sustain itself long term. Most people who are just looking to have some fun by logging in here and there will quit because of gear issues. The current gear favoritism is not a sustainable model for this type of game.

You people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ delusional. It's exactly the same. Don't try to puff up your ego like you're a better player because you have a higher tolerance for terrible game design.

somebody is trying to justify their DaD purchase lol
Maybe this upcoming test they'll have made the game at least feel faster?
