In no particular order.

(1) We don't know yet when this game releases.

(2) Dark and Darker has a patch today that removes some of my main gripes :
Forced map rotation and it introduces the first iteration of an auction house. It apparently decreases rubberbanding too - which is yet to be seen.

(3) I love the quality of the solo map here. So many ways to traverse. Better than everything DaD has atm. If they can keep up the quality in future maps the point goes to Dungeonborn.

(4) I don't particularly like combat in either of these two games. I hope for a game in the future that does it right.

That said I have a good time in Dungeonborne currently.

I am glad to see you want to try this genre.
It is my favorite kind of games since I got hooked.

Yeah fair. You sadly just missed the first DaD sale.
Play this till the 12th and see if they give any news on Early access or future playtests.

Dark and Darker in my opinion will keep going strong. This game we do not have enough evidence supporting that it'll be a hit quite yet. There's still many rooms to grow from here for both games. DaD feels a bit more polished but has a chivalry kinda fighting style whilst this game has more of a vermintide kinda style. I like both, I will be going back to DaD as soon as this game is not available. But me and the boys are have a lot of fun. Dark and darker has voip in dungeons so that's another hilarious aspect to it. This only has team chat which is fine. Both have their styles of play and the wipe for Dark and darker is very soon so you can hop in when everyone is gearing up and leveling again here in less than a week. Happy adventuring!

I personally dont care for dark and darker. Its slow and a bit clunky. This game does a lot of things better and just feels more fast paced and doesn't waste any time getting to the fun. If you want a very hardcore experience play dark and darker. If you want a more fast paced feel go with this

I think this game has a better chance at being good and I don't think Dark and Darker is going to make it honestly. Though as of right now, I wouldn't pay for this game either. We'll see how it progresses.

We'll see when this one releases. Will definitely keep an eye on it

I'd say try this game out, see where you stand on the mechanics and gameplay, and make your decision from there. DaD has better mob ai, and you can do some neat tricks against them, such as ducking beneath sword attacks that swipe from side to side. This one is more about the pvp, itself, from what I've seen, and some different abilities, but you know what your opponents are capable of, for the most part.
