Solo Play Adventure option is forced PVP ?

I thought playing single solo dungeon would mean me by my self but then seen what looked like could been anther player is this forced pvp ??

added to clarify what i mean by forced and why i picked that word sense every one got there panties all bunched up over it.

the game has option to start solo adventure but it just toss you into a force deathmatch setting with NPC with in it -> which is total opposite of solo adventure mode which was what I clicked on starting with in the game menu system.

so yes when you have a game mode setting says solo adventure and game has a tag with single player and you pick solo for starting a new game and you end up in a death match that is bit force full.

if it said Solo Death Match then I would thought PVP but it says start SOLO Adventure no talk about death match at all and the store page has tag single player and dungeon crawler right there on the store page on the right side and it shows up in the steam store front search category under single player game in list of games for single player.

editing to clarify why I consider way game terms solo adventure into deathmatch experience as a forced Player Vs Player

I can't find a way to turn off the PvP. I'm not mad about that, it's the game they wanted to make, but I'd far prefer a PvP opt-out option so I could just hang with my friends and murder monsters.

Game is advertised as a PvPvE game and that's what you get. No single player or PvE mode only at the moment no.

Only forced in the sense that you are in a shared lobby with others. It's partially viable to avoid other players, but you'll sometimes just be in a position where PvP is almost avoidable. Try rogue for the free playtest and lurk around, if you act like other players are NPCs with advanced AI then it kind of plays like a Thief game.

I think it's 100% understandable to think "Delve deep into the treacherous corridors of Clouseau Castle on a solo venture" implies that you'll be by yourself. The only real indication that it would be otherwise is "an immersive first-person PvPvE dungeon crawler.", but even then it has single player in the tags.

no, they read the tag that says PvE. It's not their fault the devs decided to false advertise.

to be fair... i wouldn't imply bad intent here. they just marked one checkbox too many while alpha testing their first game. can't even google the dev, no website, no wikipedia entry, no twitter account and probably less than 5 people working there. also nobody got hurt or spent any money at all. you all chill pls....

so i mean its just what they wanted and it is what they wanted and its just not what i want or quit few other people it seems.


the biggest issue with player vs player of any sort on steam is or even like battlefield or rust is just plan old out and out cheating happens, but now there companieis that host web pages that you can get memberships for to provided you cheats for PVP games so.

now I use to enjoy battlefield back in the 90s when cheating was not so rampant as it is now.

along with fact that its just not fun, that part is just personal view I just don't find it fun but someone might i guess.

It does not, in any sense of the way, seem that way from what you posted at all. It's pretty plainly cut and dry what it is. A PvPvE game, where you fight AI enemy and other players. Can go in by yourself in the solo queue when you don't have a team, or team up in coop for the 3 person queue. Nowhere in that does it imply that it's no PvP at any point. It literally states in the first ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sentence "Dungeonborne is an immersive first person PvPvE dungeon crawler".

I disagree i think that my impress was same as the poster right on the tags it say COOP not Team PVP
its right on steam tags where it tell customer what type of game it is PVP and then COOP so that is category its listed under for and tags it has.

but I would ask why do you care so much ?

it is almost as if you are getting paid to try to prove sometype of point that has no effect on anything.

Bro there's no way you're serious. Games can have multiple modes within them. For example, it would be accurate to give Call of Duty "single player" and "multiplayer" because it has a multiplayer mode and a campaign. If it didn't have a campaign, you wouldn't give it a singleplayer tag.

Dungeonborne also has an arena mode, is that explicitly stated in the short description? No. Because those are meant to give people a quick idea of what to expect at a glance in as few words as possible, and not an end all be all list of what the game contains.

Did a PvE gamemode kill a family member of yours or something? You seem to take this suggestion to add one mighty personally.
