Cheers. it will be hard pass then...
Tencent... man... who would like to give a Chinese corporation total computer access at low level / kernel. Also I do not see the point. We are not all playing for money like a freaking pro-gamer. That is just not right and sound pretty insane...
I mean kernels were invented for a very specific reason. That what this ACE try to bypass. And I am pretty sure Tencent will not show the code of this software and no one can really know what exactly it is doing to the hardware.
Crazy
Personally in PvP games and especially in Extraction games I'd like to have the most invasive Anti-Cheat solution there is. I would have preferred Valorant. But ACE it is.
I think we should develop the habit to have a partition with the sole purpose of gaming and keep our data separated.
I could accept a two track approach - people without it play vs other people without it.
Everybody is happy.
I would give my ID to only play vs people who do the same.
Agree with you
and i was looking forward to this game too!>:(
is it possible without the tencent anti-cheat or is tencent in there regardless?
The game could pay me to play it and I would not do so.
JFC.
Astounding that this kind of nonsense just gets shipped with a game, and there's no easy user-level uninstaller. The ACE site says "just run the installer," which of course you don't have after uninstalling the game.
I'd call this "consumer hostile behaviour" 🤣
Saw similar stuff in Undercember and other crappy malware
No thanks, deleted and uninstalled

Steam did not uninstall it.
Took about 3 minutes to uninstall using its uninstall.
The location in program files doesn't have an uninstaller.
