Mandatory PVP in 2024? Seriously?

Escape from Tarkov lost more money than it made. "Mandatory"-ANYTHING is not the move in 2024. Optional everything is the way. Nobody wants to be locked into a single player only, or co-op only, or PVP only structure. All I wanted to do in this game was have a single-player experience and have the choice to change at my leisure but I was forced to interact with trolls, habitual PVP players, and I wasn't offered any choices. Not worth my time.

To be fair, the front page does tent to depict the communities current thoughts on the game, so a lack of something there is generally telling.

There is no reasons to create pvp games in our modern World where cheating is in every corner. Very not smart decision, I removed this product from my wishlist.

Mandatory or forced pvp are terms to describe a game as being only pvp type modes. It does exist.

I think this game is going to fail simply because in these kinds of games, the community is so toxic. You can't even try the game without getting kicked away from party all of time if you have level one character. There is simply no way for new players to get into the game because the community treats all new players like trash and ensures that no newcomers join games like this.

If the community is already this toxic during the demo limited tryout phase of this game, you can only imagine how toxic it will be when the game is released.

I haven't played games like this long time I kind of forget how toxic it is. *sigh* In games like this people have attention span of 1 second and behaviours skills worse than 3 year old kids.

2k hours? I mean, you do you, but you can't really say that PvP is dumb and then spend that much time in an PvP only game.

You aren't picking up what I'm putting down. You are not being "forced" to do anything. Nothing is "mandatory." If you don't like the gameplay options a game presents you with then you can choose not to play it. Period.

Front page changes rapidly, but constantly on the front page is threads about balance. Even on threads that aren't initially about balance, have comments on them pertaining to it and the issue.

Anyone can search Rogue, DK, or Priest into the search bar and see the nonstop comments made about those classes.

Edit: As of February 10, 2024 9:16 EST, there are seven threads pertaining to poor PVP balance on the front page.
