How the hell do I play this game

I just got it, it runs amazing and I have no idea wtf the controls are. All I can do is move around and pick UP the raddish but I can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eat it I also can't get out of the damn cave and theres no sensitivity control for the mouse. I'm on a mac btw (yeah yeah, I know.)

Take the raddish and give it to the starving baby lying in the cave where you started (click on the mouse button to put it down right next to the baby).

After that, you should be able to leave the cave.

There aren't that many controls. It's just the mouse button and shift, which you'll use to run once you're out of the cave.

And if you click while near nothing it will make you howl for your puppies and they will chirp and come running. Good for if you get a little far away from them or lose sight of em.

i just don't understand how to keep the flow of the game going... i feel like all i do is kill rabbits and feed them to my four children. Does anything happen after this or do i have to travel to a certain place on the map or is this the entire game

You keep travelling until you find a fallen hollow log and go through it, that takes to the next area as I recall.

Yeah, see I thought the starving baby was already dead since it wasn't moving and colored gray. If that was the case then the best action for the remaining children was to get them out of there--whatever the cause of its death--yet both exits didn't work. I couldn't apparently do anything useful with the radish, the mushrooms, the exits, or the babies. The opening of the game made NO SENSE until I read this discussion.

Why f am I keep losing my babies at night!!!!! There is just a stupid sound and all of my babies got scared away and I tried to find them but I can't.....WTF, and when they suddenly come back there will be one less then I used to have....

For the night level, when your cubs hear a sound and run away, drop whatever you're doing (like, if you see food, leave it, you can pick that up later), and run after them, in the direction they ran away. If they run forwards, run ahead, after them, and if they run backwards, back in the direction you came from, turn around fast, and run after them, there's enough time for you to catch up with them. The pups will only be safe from predators if they stay close to you, in the circle of light around you, which is why you have to run after the babies as soon as they run. The quicker you react, the sooner you'll catch up with them. I had this problem too, I lost a couple pups before I figured this out. It's a little tricky, but becomes easier when you know what to do ;)

After you feed the cub, head for the back of the cave. There is an exit on the other end. This had me stuck at first, too.
