Saddest death experienced?
What death affected you? Was it the first one lost, the ending, the most tragic?
Did you lose one to the fire and lose yourself?

For me, the most impactful death of my cubs was the loss of my 3rd cub, the final one I would lose in the firs journey of being a mother (2 survived.) It was at the river and I took off in a run, being a very impatient and arrogant mother the first time, and I was hoping we could outrun the final set of waves blocking us from the land. I stopped behind a rock and turned to see only two babies following me, and having already dealt with the loss of two others, I ran back down the river calling for my third child who I swore I would protect. I scurried all over, the waves had stopped, but so had another one of my children's lives. ;_; It was a sad moment for me, and I didn't want to leave the river until I found my baby, but I never did.

All of my babies died :steamsad: THE ENDING WHEN THEY ALL DIE IS TOO SAD i swear i almost cried. but the 2nd cub death was the saddest for me. The hawk eagle owl bird thing took it away. I was so confused because there was scary music and I did not really know what was going on and I heard a baby scream and I'm like "NO LORD PLEASE NO" AAAAnd that was the end of that baby:steamsad:

The most saddest (Is that proper grammer even? I dunno, anyways, moving on,) impact death for me was at the ending and when all babies and the mom had fallen down into total darkness. I was surrounded by a small circle of light, and suddenly, a twig snapped and my babies ran away. A sound that made me literally leap into the air scared me soo badly, and when my babies ran back to me, only 4 were left. The same thing happened to another baby, and I didn't want to leave, I just didn't.
I wanted to search for my lost babies, but I knew that if I did that, my others would die, too, so I continued on. ;-;..
Also, in the end, I had accidently reset my game, and I had managed to save 4 of my babies (One got swept away by the river, gosh darn it cammi x)) and we were running from the eagle, when suddenly, we went into a log.
And one of my babies was stuck in a corner of the log, and I was freaking out, but the eagle just swooped by and the baby quickly joined the rest of us. I then decided that the eagle wasn't going to kill any of my babies, since this was the last level.
So I naturally got way too cocky for my own good, and the eagle took one of my two survivng sons.. :(
Rest in peace, Cammi, bandit, and Boots :(

Most of my babies lived through the hawk and starvation. But the night level..... I fed one of my babies a turnip and walked away while he was eating and he got lost into the dark and taken by a predator. The noise scared me so bad that I did not complete it for awhile

On my first day playing this game, I lost all of my cubs within the first 2 or 3 levels, because it was really confusing knowing what to do - one starved in the first level, out in the open where the eagle chases you, two got snatched by eagles (in separate levels), one got taken by a predator in the night level, and another got swept away in the river. I tried again, and lost some cubs again after that, but I kept trying, until I eventually finished the 5th level with all of them surviving. (In the night level, when your cubs get a fright from a sound, and take off, make sure to FOLLOW THEM. Run after them, and stay with them, or they'll get separated from you, and get taken by a predator. I learned this the hard way :( ) The saddest death for me was when the mother died by the eagle, when I got grabbed right at the end of the 5th level. I couldn't figure out why this kept happening, no matter how many times I hid, but I know now that this is part of the story, for the mother to die. You can only finish the 5th level if the mother dies. I was so, so sad when this happened, and thought at first, "How could they have made the story like this, for the 5th level to only be completed if the mother dies?" But now, thinking about it, this is how it is in real life, unfortunately :( Babies lose their mother to some predator, then have to fend for themselves from there. After the mother gets taken by the eagle, you see all the cubs (depending how many you have at that time, that have survived) walking away into the forest, and the eagle isn't attacking them anymore, because it got the mother. The babies are as big as the mother at this point, so they'll know how to look after themselves from there ;) I still feel so sad for the mother, that was definitely the one that shocked me the most, because it's actually part of the story :(

Ughhhhh I just finished playing this game for the first time after having it unplayed in my steam library for quite some while, and lost 2 of my kids.
The first was before I started nicknaming them but it was the dark one with one back stripe like a honey badger and I lost them in the night level :(
The first two ‘scares’ the kids ran with me so I though I knew how it worked but in the third they instead ran back toward the danger and I didn’t notice until it was too lake.

The second death was far worse because I’d grown very fond of my babies. It was the last level and I’d kept Fave (pale with cool face markings), Circle (white ring around all the edges of their back), Small Me (similar markings to mama badger), and The One Who Eats (dark with American badger face markings). We’d made it as far as the ‘last’ eagle/hawk encounter and I was leading my babies into the tunnel, but 3/4 got stuck in the entrance (Circle was safe at my side) and as I was panicking and trying to lead them in I realized I couldn’t see Fave anymore and then heard that terrible scream and had to accept that I’d lost my favourite child right at the end of the game

and as if that weren’t bad enough, while I was still reeling from the death of Fave by that damned eagle, Miss Mama Badger was attacked by that same bird and I had to watch her slowly die while the three survivors panicked around her and that broke my heart. :(((((

At least The One Who Eats survived because even though I gave them that dumb nickname because they tended to gobble up all the food, they quickly became my second favourite. They were the one to lead their siblings at the end, while poor Circle lagged behind and seemed to not take all the grief too well :(
