Did I win?

Ok, the 'last' meadow of the murder-bird - the parent badger was carried off instead of the 'babies'(the last two were basically adult-size by that point).

Did I win? Because as far as I know, those last two young-uns survived, but the mumma badger was fed to bird babies. Was it an inevitable scripted event? A lesson in 'your kids will never learn to fend for themselves until you're out of the picture'? Or could I have done better?

Tbh, getting out of the 'night' phase with three badger babies suriving seems to be quite the challenge.

I think it was the intended end of the game. I got the same thing. There weren't any bushes to hide in on the way through the meadow, and I don't see how you could avoid getting smacked by that evil eagle.
