So we get a lot of confusion on this map, I probably need to work on the visual clarity and signposting for it at some point - there are 4 interactable tiles, 2 for the poison font deactivation and 2 for the shrine purification. The shrines are both on the bottom third of the map under the stone shrine statues. The demonic area is for purifying the poison, which it looks like you've done already there!
TLDR there should be a 'purify' tile for a shrine in the very lower left of the map or very lower right depending on which one you already purified.
I've tried giving it to Benji for example with base stats DEF 20 - FOR 7 and it equalized to DEF 11 - FOR 11.
But when I put the ring on my Khamari with stats DEF 21 - FOR 28 it only changes to DEF 22 - FOR 27.
Does it have something to do with Khamaris passive?
It seems to work fine on any other character as far as I tested it.
1. The fire can't be put out for some reason when you start the level. I had to make a battlesave, then load that and NOW I can step on the fire and select "put out."
I thought I NEEDED a water class at first to cast that whirlpool to put it out, but no, was just a bug.
2. The boss is just a generic soldier, unless I battlesave and reload, then they're suddenly a unique class.
I have no idea why this is working that way. He was a basic soldier the entire game, and I thought it kind of weird someone of that stature would be a grunt class, but lo and behold, a reload showed his true class... with blue (friendly) colours, hinting at a clear spoiler. But then they also suddenly could not move, and lost their ability to have +1 range. The map markers when hovering over them show 0 movement and 1 attack space.
Also after the level, Irving went from yellow to red colours for... some reason. Idk if that one was intentional or is a third bug.
When boss dying from counter attack (enemy turn), game just softlock after battle animation.
Edit: Should also note that the character I am using it on is Saxon.
For now while I track this down, this was the workaround that they found that has seemed to work for anyone running into this issue!
"So I was able to get it to make a save file, not sure what fixed it, but in case it helps with bug fixes below is the list of things I did before the problem was resolved.
1. Went into the game files and made sure all users had full control of every file, so for each file I right clicked > properties > security > edit > checked the box "full control" for all users.
2. I made sure all of the files were not "read-only" strangely the folder itself continually remained read-only, but all of the files within I set to read only (I think most if not all already were).
3. I had the game set to always launch as an administrator and made sure to manually launch as an administrator just in case. I used the executable file (DarkDiety2.exe) to launch the game (not through my Steam Library).
4. I launched steam as an administrator.
I will say the first option was what I found most forums suggest, but I am a bit doubtful that fixed the problem alone as I did that and then launched and it didn't work. It wasn't until I reinstalled, did that again plus the other three steps that it worked. For anyone with similar issues, I'd recommend following the above steps. I also don't think running as an administrator alone fixed it either as I tried that to before and did not fix the issue on its own. Hope this also helps figure out a more permanent solution/bug fix. Seems like it was some kind of permissions issue as noted above. Thanks!"
**Brooke has a bug in the conversations menu that will also show a notification that she has a new support, even when she does not. No other character experienced this issue, but it was on Brooke from chapter 12 until the end of the game. This also pretains to Lincoln and Irving
I did verify multiple times, and delete the game, reinstalled it on two different drives, reboot my computer and the game is still muted.
