That's not dead. Battlefront used to be lucky to get a server with 10-15 players. You have to realize the game is nearly 20 years old.

The game is fine as it is they need to fix the multiplayer. This isn't a remaster, it's a port with added content and upscaled textures.

It's crazy that I'm playing BF1 with 20 other people after all these years. This game should be way beyond dead. This is still great for me. Especially since I couldn't play og BF1 cause of compatibility issues and og BF2 keeps crashing, servers are crap and I can't see what ping they have.

The problem is this game is region locked and BF2 2005 is not. BF2 2005 maintains around the same numbers as this collection but servers look more full in the older game because there is no lock. In my region I can't find a server with more than 15 people

region lock an assumption would be there afraid of the lag that may come
hopefully they remove the locks once they got things upto par

there is options, which ill make a requirement thread per my region if it is region locked
id suggest making one per your region

plus there is an group that may be able to help mp revival group
which theyll mod you and you can make announcements of times for people to gather
