I actually had fun
Despite it's issues I had a lot of fun playing multiplayer for the first time. A lot of things need to be fixed and I really do hope aspyr gets to work because i'd like to see this game succeed.

I wanted to refund it the first night i played as i got frustrated with the server issues, the weird aim acceleration and the fact that they could have saved us alot of disk space if they kept the original textures instead of going the AI upscale rout but I decided not to since I got the discount and Did not want to pay more money if I decided to buy it again if everything was fixed So I decided to hold on to it. The next day I decided to boot it up and ended up playing all day long. Despite being super laggy and my shots going through enemy players I had a blast.

I'm glad that everyone is letting it be known to Aspyr that there are standards and expectations that should be met, but them bringing back these old classics and attempting to revive them is a step in the right direction, with some more guidance we will get what we want. But if they run away with our money then we know not go anywhere near what these guys touch after this.

Hopefully some patches and a sale will get the player base back, because I really did have fun on multiplayer and would like to see this games community thrive.

This will be 2 dollars in a year and likely still just as buggy.

Same here. Nothing better that getting the "Execute order 66" achievement for launching Mace Windu into a troposphere

Literally get the classic BF2. I don't know why you guys snorting on that subpar nostalgia crack when the actually good version is right there

Probably because it doesn't run well on our setups, or screws them up.

So the not run well part seems to still be true from the sound of it.

The classic versions also don't come with the dlc and such, and that is a big pull of why I wanted this version. I mainly wanted to play this game offline, and overall it feels like it used to. They should fix the online though since that was a huge marketing point.

It doesn't take long to download and install the XBOX DLC mod... Like 5 mins tops.

Give the classic collection a year and it will be far batter than the old games regardless. Modders will do wonders with it and the 64 bit is going to really improve things.

In the meantime, I will continue enjoying the classic collection. It plays really nicely on newer systems. I'll also be patient and give the devs atleast two weeks to get some patches out. Many people on here are expecting fixes now and I don't understand that. Fixes take time and unfortunately some games/remakes/remasters release with issues that cannot be addressed in a day. It's the world we live in and things are not always perfect, so live with it or get out of gaming.

It hasn't crashed once, and I don't have desync/disconnect issues and I can alt tab in and out of it safely. Plus it has proper controller support. I see from the people that speak for this game say "despite its issues" sometimes, but it fixes every single reason I would want to launch the old versions, but ultimately always decided not to. No resolution issues, I can have the steam overlay on, and again, it doesn't just randomly crash every so often..

And it is only 30 dollars. I've foolishly spent more - a lot more - on much worse games.

I'll never play in a random public lobby though, only certain organized ones.

Because it doesn't have official support, and you have to deal with admins, and people that has been playing with no stop, do you think that's friendly to new people?, they won't get a single kill if they join multiplayer on that game, trust me, I'm still playing online the old one, and there's not a single noob
