whats the difference between classic collection and the original?

I haven't played this version yet because everyone is saying bad things, but I've been playing the original for years with the remaster mod and the battlefront 3 legacy mod and other mods too, and it's incredible both graphically (for a 2005 game) and the gameplay too, So I wonder if it's worth buying this new remaster or continuing with the original game with mods?

It does work.
There were some server issues at launch and its already gotten better.

I've literally been playing all day with one disconnect.

The original is better without mods. Actually you would be better emulating xbox or ps2 versions of battlefront 1/2 rather than running this version.

I prefer more with mods, there are several mods eras of the universe (like Old Republic, Thrawn trilogy) and there is also Harrisonfog's Battlefront 2 Remaster, which is very good and gives a very good improvement to the graphics and there is also the battlefront 3 mod which is excellent, but I also have the version of PS2 which I play from time to time and I have the PSP one and they are really cool too

I have them all installed and playing back to back against this remaster and i find that people saying the originals are better are not being truthful and instead trying to push an agenda against the remaster.

Granted its launch was a mess but already the servers are better and they are working on it.

The remaster has people actually playing.
Good luck finding decent games in the originals

Yeah i more so mean the ps2 version probably works better than collection version. I tested ps2 version on my pc for laughs and it works on my pc though i have a ungodly over spec cpu.

MP has been dead on 2. 1 half full lobby and a bunch with 2 or 3 people, maybe 200 people.
