No Award Metals Weapons Stay

In Multiplayer when you are given an award that gives you the elite version of a weapon, it does not let you swap to an elite weapon or have it stay.

You have to unlock a certain number of award weapons before you get them permamently. Otherwise, you lose them when you get killed.

He means that when given the award weapon, it doesn't actually let you use it. It's happening to me too. You need to get it to elite status (or above, can't remember) for it to be permanent. But it isn't even letting you use the weapon in the first instance.

you have to get to veteran (4 medals) before it gives you the award at all. applies to all medals.

Yes, Once you earn it it will not even let you use it.

I've had the same issue immediately after i've gotten it. All i did is switch weapons. Then i got it. Dont know about the permanent issue tho.

ik you guys are silly but hes probly talking about the gunslinger in bf2 where you get 100 plus kills with a pistol it turms it to a DMRest gun and no you cant switch back to the regular blaster pistol once you unlocked it

What I am saying is once you have are given the award weapon it is impossible to swap to it
