I cant belive Aspyr actually managed to screw this up
They have the best Star Wars battlefront games in their hands now imgaine they do a complete Remake with modern Graphics this would be something something EAs - DICE will never achive, and they completly messed it up so much wasted potential.

I think most people only bought it for the Nostalgia as myself but they screwed it up they had one simple job

Were this port handled by Panic Button, or Splash Damage, the issues it's facing wouldn't be present.

Aspyr has always been weak as far as ports go.

Aspyr:
1.Messed up True Crime New york city pc port
2.Messed up Spider-man web of shadows pc port
3.Messed up Star Wars Force Unleashed 1&2 pc ports.
4.Messed up Kotor 2 switch port.(And didn't release the promised "TSLRCM DLC"
5.Messed up kotor remake.
6.Released Tomb Raider classic collection in unfinished state.(And even with the update it's still an unfinished collection with issues)

And now they messed up Battlefront collection. Lucasfilm doesn't care about quality it seems.

How did they mess up KOTOR remake? What were the issues with the Tomb Raider collection? not doubting you but I haven't really heard complaints about either.

Messing up the KOTOR remake is putting it extremely lightly. It's been back and forth between god knows how many different studios at this point.

They messed up the PC port as well, mod support is genuinely worse than just modding it manually, and there are multiple graphical issues that weren't in the original game (try dual wielding lightsabers and you'll see one almost immediately).

Aspyr has never made a truly good port, and they should have gone out of business years ago. The industry suffers because Aspyr exists.

Gotcha, that's a shame to hear. Never played KOTOR but when I seen the remake get announced I was excited to try it out, seems like I'll just play the original whenever I get to it.

It's a bit of a rabbit hole if I'm being honest. Absolutely worth reading into tho. It shows how hilariously inept some studios are.

They were the lead developer for Kotor remake. But their work wasn't good and Sony and Lucasfilm decided to pull them from that project.(So, they just wasted few years of fans that were waiting for that remake)

And Tomb Raider classic collection had lots of issues for around 3 weeks after it was launched:
1.the advertised new Modern controls weren't working properly and were unfinished.(They didn't even add a tutorial section for it kinda like the tutorial that tank controls had)

2.Camera goes crazy in narrow areas.

3.You have some areas that look good but there are areas/levels that were definitely unfinished.(Water was invisible in them)

4.You had keys that became hidden because they forgot to make them stand out more in the environments.

5.The remasters have audio problems

6.You had a bonus level that wasn't available

7.Achievements were broken.

After the patch some of the issues were fixed but it's still not fully fixed. I bought it at launch and waited 13 days for a patch but saw that patches take more time and decided to refund that.

People gotta remember that Aspyr contracted modders for Tomb Raider, the reason the patches take so long was because of miscommunications with Aspyr. What I’m trying to say is Aspyr is the weak link in all of this, their actual development team is a joke as well and more so after this release. They got an awful track record, I can’t believe people bought into this it’s why I pulled by preorder weeks ago.

It was a staple of my childhood. I've replayed it multiple times as an adult, too. KoTOR 2 is also great, but you need to download the restoration mod.

You'll need a compatibility mod to get KoTOR 1 to work on modern PCs, as well as an aspect ratio fix.

I don't know what people expected Aspyr tbh.
