Hypothetical patch in 2025
I know this game had an awful launch. Unforgivable launch, and the multiplayer was cooked from day 1. However, they seemed to fix a lot of the issues. Besides achievements tracking and other minor bugs. What are the big fixes people are waiting for? I'm genuinely curious what would make this game flip from mostly negative to positive. Are people wanting workshop support, new content, more multiplayer support and game modes? I don't think it will happen but if they tried to fix this game, what exactly are the main issues?

Really just make multiplayer cross-region and cross-platform, fix achievement bugs, and fix ultrawide resolution HUD problems and it's fine for me. They fixed a lot of problems that I initially had at launch, and it's at least an enjoyable way to play the old games on a Steam Deck since they have real controller support.

I guess 4 player split screen would be cool, pretty sure it's limited to 2 player.

Everyone is as long as they can actually do it in a competent manner. Though at this point it probably wouldn't matter and most workshop mods would be reuploads done without the original modder's permission or the workshop would just be left very very empty if it was added now.

Though on another topic, look me in the eyes and tell me the possibility of something like Acklay Hunt being officially added doesn't go hard.
honestly at this point i wouldn't want much, I was never a fan of the modding scene because I grew up playing the original games by myself in my room lol. So thats what i'm looking for and this game gives that already. Something like an Acklay Hunt would be pretty fun tho but thats more added content and not fixing things.

The multiplayer is so dated (and honestly kind of bad) that it wouldn't have mattered if the game did release with flawlessly functioning multiplayer people would have stopped playing right away because playing with more than 2 humans in a Battlefront 2 match is actually not fun. Its only fun with 2 people or solo because fighting against a bunch of humans in battlefront 2 is actually anti fun lol. (and i love multiplayer pvp shooters and even like the new EA battlefront 2 alot).

An edit to add to the point above: I worked at a place that had 12 xbox's hooked up on lan and we had battlefront 2 for the setup and regularly had parties of people who would play all 12 together in the same game and battlefront 2 was the one least played in that way because the more humans the worse the game got. Halo was probably the most played game because it had actually good multiplayer lol.

So honestly I would be fine if they left it how it was... Its what i want and runs perfectly for turning it on and playing a galactic conquest when the mood strikes me. The game in its current state is exactly what i wanted from a re release like this tbh. But maybe i'm just old and its the nostalgia talking.

Achievements are not fixed. Still cant get that "Just Like the Simulations" achievement.
They definitely still have some texture and audio bugs to fix as well. A notable one is trees in Dagobah lacking foliage. I think planets in space battles are still missing chunks? Unsure.

theres alot they can tune to make it exactly like a proper remaster just take the first two games see what people liked and disliked and go from there,
but this is aspyr after all even their guitar hero ports been awful,
so i dont think they know much about video game coding.

Well if players stay positive and few negative then Dev's will surely understand look at smite 2
The bugs I reported were fixed. Netcode is a problem, but it's not worse actually from the original but it's still not great for online play.
You reported the bugs that’s good things now devs can look into logs in their codes and fix it

I ( and ~45% of other players ) got this achievement. They work.

That it works sometimes doesn't mean it isn't bugged.

45% achieve rate isn't what one would call "sometimes".

You can literally get that by downloading a single mod lol. So you'd rather wait for official content that's never gonna happen when you can get what you want with just ONE mod? Plus installing mods is very simple.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

If I cant get it, it is not working. It doesnt matter if you or 45 % can get it.
