Split Screen Gaming on PC

Before about a week ago I was able to use an older Logitech controller and a PS4 controller both plugged into my PC and me and my gf were able to play together. Now when I try to start split screen it doesn't recognize both controllers. Its almost like its seeing inputs from both controllers but only allowing one to actually input.

please help. this is pretty much the only reason i bought the game.....
