Regarding the Storage space the collection takes up
I fail to understand how slight upscales to the Graphics alone can bump what could have been overall roughly around 20-25 GB for combining the two games, somehow ends up becoming 50 GB, the textures, based on research I have undertaken, don't really appear all that much improved for that to be the SOLE cause for the bloat.

Can someone explain to me what else is bloating these two games up? It should be roughly 20-25 GB in total.

From what I guess is the textures were upscale but never re-compressed, or at least in the proper way. The strange thing is If this is the case a patch should shrink the game size down quite a bit if they would just do some optimizations. also remember there are a lot of files that are in the game but aren't used, and if they up-scaled those as well, plus up-scaled movies, from the old game, and the menu movies. It might add up... again depending on compression and all that.

I don't get how the textures alone bloat the game to where they are, they still look almost the same as they used to.

I do suspect they probably didn't even bother compressing the files in the first place, however, but again that is a whole 30 GB at most to account for, combining the two games would, at the very least, result in 20 GB storage taken on one's HDD/SSD.

It doesn't make sense to me, there has to be something else.

well, i mean the battlefront 1 uses clips from the movies as cutscenes.

i don't know if thats true but i read in another discussion that 1 of those cutscene video files aledgidly is about 9 GB.

So does 2. I fail to comprehend a simple upscale could nearly triple the size of the files. Unless there was zero attempt to compress them, which is the case I'm leaning more towards.

These upscalled clips are so huge with I dunno how large bitrate that my GPU chokes when they play.
