No Crossplay, No Incentive To Buy The PC Version

I just found out there isn't going to be online crossplay between consoles. That would have been the sole reason to get this release. I have already owned the originals for years on Steam. All of the features coming to this collection version are already available for the originals via mods (which work online too! Not to mention the features quite literally are community mods that Aspyr is just including in their release). Online features still work with the originals as well.

There's no point to get this version vs the originals for cheaper with mods for free. Especially on GOG where the games are DRM free.

I'll still pick this up for Switch for the portability (especially if it releases physically), but I'm not so sure about the PC release anymore.

We dont care whether you buy or not sheesh! If you own the originals good bro, I have pre-ordered this since I didnt play the OGs nor do I own them. The market for this game is different, its good to have options.

Look, i'm buying it to show that the original battlefront's aren't dead, and maybe it will spark a new battlefront with the original formula (not EA's ♥♥♥♥.)

It is a fact this collection is overpriced.
The only reason I am getting this is because of split screen and coop, as well as conquest battles on all maps.
I do hope it have easy mod support too.

Will die like DICE BF games. No one knows what modes people are playing so you just end up in empty servers. PC player base (especially OCE) is woefully low.

Playable but not great on steamdeck. It controls a lil jank. That's why I'm looking forward to proper controller support

judging by how lazy this release is with 0 AI improvements, 0 cross platform play. Safe to say they also did not add voice chat.

This is clearly just a get rich quick scheme.

the OGs are usually on sale for like $2 - $5 each (hell even key sellers sell the games for $2), it just seems unnecessary as hell to buy this version of the game. I see why people playing on newer consoles like PS4 and PS5 would but why buy this on Steam???
