windows 8.1 surpassed windows 7 in every way. windows 10 is better than windows 8.1 the only older operating system you can say is better than windows 10 is windows xp for very very niche uses (when it comes to interacting with machinery through often older tech) which ordinary people like myself do not need. Not only just for performance and compatibility i highly highly recommend at least updating to a newer version of windows for at least the improvements to security that come with it.
