oh no, more veterans who will destroy me easily and slightly less cheaters??
look good, just like something i could do on the originals for free???
for 15 dollars more than buying both the originals????
and for them stealing a community mod for the OG Xbox DLC?????
hmm... nah, i'll stick with the originals because 15$ for community mods to be built into the game, probably scuffed high-res support, and only 1 new feature (steam deck support being that feature) isn't really worth it
or, i don't play all my games on steam? a small library doesn't tell you anything about me or my finances, neither would a large library
ever used services like good old games? origin? epic games launcher? clearly i don't need to have 300 games on steam if im only gonna play 12 of them often enough
a rich person can have a small library, a poor person can have a large library
is it small because the games i own, are games i actually want to play, why buy a game if im not going to play it ever?
ever used CDs? i bet steam can track them, oh wait, it doesn't
or is it that you think steam is the only game service that every single person on earth will ever use for games?
or is that you are jumping to conclusions because my game showcase has btd6 with 3 and a half thousand hours on it?
or is that i don't have many badges?
you know what would be a bigger indicator that im poor? a private userpage...
oh wait, seems im taking fire at you, am i now?[prnt.sc]
anyway goodbye
I'm assuming with the new multiplayer framework its going to run better than the original too in terms of tickrate etc since it wouldn't make much sense to deliberately go out of your way as a studio to replicate servers from nearly 20 years ago.
it's a tough one for me on this matter. i would love and prefer the game on PC but the lack of excitement and overall negativity surrounding it already is depressing to see. £23 for 2 classic games with fully function multiplayer with tones of fixes etc is a pretty small price to pay. regardless of it (kinda) existing on pc you'll never bring an influx of players back to a 20 year old game for absolutely no reason. This is that reason. people would love to revisit this game but in its current state on PC why should they? £23 or even without the discount is a small price to ask for 2 games with modern servers. if i can get 30hrs of fun out of these to experience playing multiplayer on a game i never got to back in the day they hey thats well worth it. you have absolute delusional morons who spend that money on nikki minaj skins and eminem skins on fornite and cod in one foul swoop.
i think more classic games should start doing the same. i'd happily pay £25 for Battlefield 2 with modern working servers with 60hz tickrate just to experience playing something like that from before my time. i unfortunately didnt have internet during the rise of these classic large scale multiplayer games and my god do most of them look more fun and interesting than half the garbage we get these days (from a gameplay perspective of course)
