Well, ideally... both? That way, they won't be able to go "ok we're done" in 6 months and render the whole multiplayer unplayable. Again.
It can't be too costly to provide some dedicated servers for a 20 year old game. My hope is that it would last for at least 2 years.
The 50GB are probably because of the upscaled textures, but the remaster project and shader patch look significantly better imo. You can even see screenshots on my page to see what I mean.
Split screen is nice. But those textures better be something because 50gb?! Anyway, we'll see.
