Launcher required?

That makes zero sense honestly. This collection is made by Aspyr not EA or any other company. Also usually, like 90% of the time if an external application is needed to play Steam tells you in the description.

If it is really packaged as 1 game, then I would expect that a Launcher might be used to launch one or the other.

The games are very similar but the game engine did change quite a bit in that 1 year for BF2.

Yeah just worried about the launchers that break every 5 minutes on Linux. I don't see why a remaster can't combine them both (like recent Tomb Raider Remastered does).

if there is a launcher then im sure there's a way to execute the executables separately, or by adding appropriate launch parameters.

On the store page, it doesn't state that a 3rd party launcher would be required. And it wouldn't be Steam Deck verified if another launcher was required, so I imagine it'll work out the box.
