Remaster vs 2017
So someone who grew up on the classic BF 1/2 this was a easy pick up not only is this game better than 2017 in almost every single way outside graphics. The real selling point here for me is the PvE content for me as a solo player to enjoy where you have conquest mode and can play with bots on a massive scale etc vs 2017 where there is no option for solo play really and even in a more bot mode you still have to play with 3 random online players which is a drag just let me do the big scale modes with bots in the 2017 version, also the 2017 version has a ton of hackers and no lifers that are level 1000000 on everything so as soon as you get dumped into a match you get aim botted across the map as you spawn in the 2017 version is meh at best for me it was when it came out and still is meh, now I would stick to the classic BF 1/2 on PC but they are kinda busted messy ports with its own issues so this go around will probably make for a better community to play it with online and PvE coop wise and for the gen z cry babies I have news for you graphics dont make a game. The cross play ehh I can take it or leave it honestly it might be something they add in later like how MK 1 did and most players are on PC anyways however bottom line ima enjoy this with or without people to play it with :) yall just some haters honestly leave it to the SW fan base to cry about everything.

If you only intend to play solo there's no point in purchasing this over playing the versions already available on Steam.

Well, you still benefit from the hero mode being playable on all ground maps and from ventress and fisto

Except for the new maps and new heros and other content they might add that differs from the OG counter part /shrug

Also never said my only intended purpose was solo play just that this version offers more in terms of solo play vs 2017 which is a selling point for me not that I wouldnt ever do online play with it but its nice to just vibe out alone and not be rained down on by sweats .

Basically anything being added can be beaten and then some by mods on the original.

However I'll consider the collection worthwhile if everything properly works on modern systems with functional, smooth multiplayer.

But $35 for a port with minimal updates I'm expecting it to work pretty damn smoothly.

Yeah but my experience with the OG version on steam is that its been broken so I wouldnt even considering trying to mod it as its a mess in its abandoned state. also its my hope that this version will have more polish and better control set up the OG port is almost unplayable for me anyways and I bought the OGs on a deep sale that costed me next to nothing so I am not to pressed on the price tag however I can see why others would be,

"2017 where there is no option for solo play really and even in a more bot mode" While I agree with most of your points, this statement is not completely accurate. They did finally make some bot driven modes for many things for a solo experience. But its not really the same as just a regular Starfighter Assault or Supremacy. And they did not add that till the very end of their support for it.

The solo more bot stuff you still have to have online players with you in a 4 coop group and the maps and content for it felt limited in the 2017 vs in comparison also I really dont like the star fighter stuff in the 2017 version much as I did in the old I get what youre saying but the OG felt like it had more options and variety of things to please every aspect for every player vs heavy more online only sided 2017 version.

2017 feels designed for online matches with the offline modes feeling like an afterthought that they just threw in when 95% of the game was finished. These games were made in an era where a lot of people still didn't play online and when xbox live and psn were still new concepts. When the multiplayer's dead for these games, it'll be much easier to come back to these games vs the new battlefronts.

Exactly I remember playing BF 1 on xbox live as a pre teen it was wild and fun of course but the option to do online an solo is just more preferred for my tastes is all nothing is really wrong with either or.

I prefer BF Classic because it has a normal vehicle system. I don't like killstreak/battle points/respawn as a vehicle system from EA's games.

If classic BF feels like Battlefield - then EA's BF feels more like a CoD.

You know they brought back Instant Action in EA's game, right? Someone didn't do their research.

That's just co-op mode. They literally brought back Instant Action mode and it can be played in the single player options...
