Should we trust Aspyr?
I am sceptical about this, Aspyr was in charge of the KOTOR remake on the Nintendo switch and completely dropped the ball on it. Not to mention they promised the Restored Content Mod for the game which was the big selling point for it and has since been cancelled. All they did was give us a touched up version of the original. I am not too keen on Aspyr doing ANOTHER collection remake of Star Wars.

Heck they also lost the actual KOTOR remake because LucasArts didn't like what they had.

No, LucasArts specifically is not listed on this product.

The remaster of the starwars FPS has them listed. I feel like there was a reason Lucasart did not want their name on the product.

I doubt that it will have any game halting bugs like their switch port of KOTOR 1 (Korriban tower of hanoi puzzle doesn't function in the switch version and locks you in forcing a reload). I also doubt they'd make the same false advertising mistake again like they did with the KOTOR 2 RCM switch release.

Didn't they make the Guitar Hero PC version?

Recently they made Tomb Raider I-III Remastered which have received very positive reviews.

What do you mean? They have been given plenty of chances and most of them have been flops.

Remember Aspyr from long time ago and never felt comfortable with their practises.

Did you actually see a comparison of the two?

It is clear that in certain areas they are different textures, not upscales but different.

And the vast majority of the positive reviews are on the graphics not other improvements:

and the Star Wars 'remaster' just seems to be upscaling textures, etc when comparing PC to PC. Check out timemark 05:28:

One does not have to be a critic or supporter when the evidence is clear.

From the base release and the few patches, I do think there are those at Aspyr who jist wanted something that would make a quick buck. For those people, I say, Single player only games are far easier of a target. They'll almost never require a post-launch patch. For example over a year past Retro Studios release of Prime remastered, the game has yet to see a pstch addressing some minor yet noticeable concerns.

There also appear to be those at Apyr who just want to get paid with as little work done as possible. That's evident of lazy patches that breaks more than it fixes.

But there also appear to be those at Aspyr who genuinely care at releasing a quality product, and fixing the bugs that it launched with.

Even if the game didn't launch in the freatest state, there is still a good game here, despite the issues. There are a lot of games on Steam that even if they're the most bug free stable game in the universe, the underlying game is still a piece of ♥♥♥♥. So I say we need to support the games that are actually good. Even if they launch with a few bugs.

Uhh no.

They have put out what one patch? Not that it matters, the damage is done.

Their aren't really and devs I "trust" 100 percent. I have more confidence in some than others like say Nixxes for Playstation to PC ports. Or id games being extremely technically polished etc.

But Aspyr? When I first saw this in the store before release I was worried as soon as I saw "Developer: Aspyr".

ASPYR DID NOT MADE THIS ONE, IT WAS ALL CRYSTAL DYNAMIC WORK, ASPYR TOOK CREDIT BECAUSE THEY PORT IT TO MAC... THEY DID NOT DO A SINGLE THING ON THE REMASTER. DO SOME RESEARCH BRO.
