No crossplay at launch. Are you buying?

Me personally ima hold off, since I have some games to buy before the 360 marketplace shuts down, and I also made some purchases this week.

PC version comes out tomorrow, but like I said, there’s no crossplay and unlike how Night Dive offered the Quake games for free when they were remastered if you already had quake on steam or GoG, you have to but this one again and we all already own the originals (well I don’t have battlefront 1)

Honestly this could have been done better. Maybe update the original version for PC, and release this game on consoles. Arkham Asylum and City remasters weren’t on PC cuz we had the game still listed, and we had mods. Xbox didn’t have a huge backwards compatibility library back then, and PlayStation would need the remaster anyways. Maybe this could have been a console exclusive

having the originals doesn't matter in the slightest (well it does but if you would prefer to play alone without mp just play that) the money we use to buy this is going to fund the servers FOR the Multiplayer so we can play together, they aren't gonna update the old games because they have no incentive to, Servers cost money and money is the price we pay for a (somewhat) updated form of The Classic Battlefront games, As for crossplay, it doesn't really matter at all unless you have friends on a different platform or to widen the mp playerbase so it's no surprise it's not gonna be here at launch, probably not even at all if im being honest (I could be wrong tho)

So in conclusion, I am going to buy the game to absolutely trash on people in MP.

if game had a full on VR conversion mode and RTX and 16k or 8k textures with crossplay on pc xbox playstation nintendo and mobile. I buy it

Yeah I preordered it, I have hope that if it does well we'll get new features like crossplay and MP Galactic Conquest.

Lack of crossplay is disappointing, but if you think this is the worst NightDive money bilking you haven't been paying attention. Star Wars: Dark Forces is the same price and is just a reskinned Build Engine game. At least this is two games, with multiplayer, and hopefully some modding support.

Sure but everything is a big investment now for them so if it doesn't look like it'll be fruitful and a sure thing then they won't do it. So now they have to see if people are buying and engaging with something before they'll put more into it.
