No. The game isn't dead. Plenty of people play regularly. (Myself included.)
Neotokyo friday has been a common occurence since before I even started playing.

If you want to play a game NOW rather than LATER? You can either:
* Invite some people from your friends list and the Active Neotokyo Players Group (ANPA)
* use the 'NT Alert' program I wrote to alert you to impromptu games while you do something else in the meanwhile
* Be patient and just wait until Friday.

Hey sorry I'm new to NT and I'm a n00b. I tried joining a few servers on regular weekdays and each one is legit empty. What gives?! lmao I understand I'll have to wait until friday for a more active, lively game but is there any particular reason as to why just on fridays (besides people being busy with their lives). I'm a former GiTs player so I heard about NT last year. Some GiTs players after the 2.0 update were going on about heading on over back to NT. I asked around and players told me this game is like GiTs and has a cyberpunk vibe to it. However I'm not really feeling it and I tend to use an xbox controller to play instead of a keyboard/mouse. Is there any way to configure it. Or is NT always been like that?

You might have luck with this controller script. That Steam group also tends to post announcements periodically when people play.
