Bug? Find Sam’s stone

Hello, this game is great but I think I’ve encountered a bug in the Stone Collection quest and I’m now stuck. I have all the stones except Sam’s, and quest log says Find Sam’s Stone, but every time I go and get his stone the quest log doesn’t update. I’ve tried restarting the game and trying the next day, but it takes me back to Sam’s store to find the stone, which I do again (same cut scene)…etc etc. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

I encountered this bug both times I played. You should still be able to pick up a stone and use it, but the quest will never go away. I don't know if picking up multiple stones has any consequences though.
