Opinions on how to better up ethereal nightmare
I’m really enjoying lost castle 2, but I really want to discuss what I don’t like about the ethereal nightmare.

The majority of the modules that add up to the ethereal nightmare make the player character weaker, which is just not fun. Also, it is counter intuitive to spend so much time upgrading your base camp only to add downgrades later such as less hp, mp, and resources, which I spent my money to make better.

There should be more variety in these modules, for instance:

-make elite enemies and EX bosses an option, instead of making them mandatory (on top of all these options to make my character weak)

-stage hazards, i.e. having those root traps in the overall forest area, more explosives, random lightning, etc.

-random challenges, i.e. a room full of certain types of enemies, a room full of stage hazards, etc.

-separate stat ups for the enemies (strength, speed, hp, mob up)

This way, you can elevate the challenge without making the players weaker, which just plains suck for such a fun game.

Agreed, Hades already has a formula that works. If you're gonna lift the heat system from that game may as well just go all the way

Yea, not really a fan of the new system either. Limits your build options as a form of increasing difficulty :/
