CAN'T ROTATE CAMERA IN GEM EDITOR

So about a week or two ago my middle mouse button worked fine rotating in the editor except all of a suddden it is in a fixed position and won't move, wasd works fine along with using the arrow keys to rotate the camera but that does get a bit tedious and i'd much rather the middle mouse button to rotate. Anyway, when i search online for this i see alot of other people are having the same problem and the most common answer they recieve is 'press CTRL+Q' which unsurprisingly otherwise i wouldn't be here doesn't work and along with others having this same problem.

Mods i'm currently using
-Galaxy At War
-Anything Stays permanently

Although this same issue pops up when i use red rising or global escalation aswell so i don't believe it's a mod problem but i may well be wrong. Anyway if someone could help me fix this it would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time
