Telling from the MOWAS 1 unit charts the german 88/L71 penetrated 92mm@180m, 202mm@70m and 229mm@10m. The Jagdtiger penetrated 103mm@180m (better), 198mm@70m (worse) and 213mm@19m (worse). The Super Pershing penetrated 91mm@180m (worst), 171mm@70m (ridiculous, it's british 3,7" class AA) and 179mm@10m.
With a frontal armour of just 119mm it loses still more ground to the Königstiger's 150mm (and 180mm gun mount). Sides and back also are thinner than the Königstiger's.
While the 88/L71 takes 8s to load, the Jagdtiger's gun needs 15s to fire the next shot. But the blast / destruction capability is better.
A Jagdtiger is a useless unit in almost every setting, the Elefant may be an option due to it's price in some settings. The Königstiger is an incredible good tank as a basis to your assault but it's not the spearhead of it. On maps with lots of arty and radio ops it's the wrong choice. Placed in noobs hand: Germany is lost.
The KT has 3 main weaknesses:
1. Speed
2. Turret Speed Rotation
3. Rear Armour
Exploit these and they are easy to kill.
It's the game's "main" way to play. It was created for a balanced match, taking out some redundant tanks.
Everithing you see is made te play that way, every mode (ie assault zones) has the cost of the units (on CP and MP) to play with normal resources.
What does this means? In Assault zones you will start with 160mp and a 100cp limit. You will eventually get 3000mp (it will take time). So, if you want to buy a King Tiger, you will need to NOT buy a lot of things to save money, and it will take half of your CP when you get it.
So, if your enemy attacks you, he will get all the map before you have your tank. This is why almost nobody uses the King tiger. Exceptions are on big maps with a lot of players, where your ally can help you while you bank, and you try to play with your special units (they don't cost MP)
This is very situational, you should allways be on the offensive. Tell your team if you plan to bank, they will get mad if you just wait and spawn a king tiger when you are losing 0-99.
Other modes will get you different "normal" resources. In Day of Victory you start with 250mp (but gain slower). So you need to think if you buy paratroopers or a regular and save for a tank, for example.
In Frontliness, the team assaulting gets more MP and CP.
Every unit cost is made for this, you change to 4000mp on assault zones and you unbalance the game.
If you enter a 50000mp 180, expect heavy tanks spam, King Tigers vs Pershins, macross missile massacre and a lot of mad people.
Some changes where made to promote the use of the medium tanks (The most used in the war). In 1v1, the biggest vehicle you will normally see is a Sherman.
When you see a big tank, the enemy used a lot of resourses. It may be a good idea to attack the oposing flank with a light and some infantry. Even on the smallest map, buying a big tank is more a problem than a solition. Attack where the enemy is weak. It's common to see the oponent try to move that heavy tank without caution and end up destroyed for a cheap bazooka. Ragequit ensured.
ussr
u buy lots elite ivans
u kill the infantry that surrounds the kts
then u simply bum rush it from 2 sides while throwing at nades in driver hatch (dont throw in the engine, it still bugs out and doesnt give u kill points due to burning out)
bazookas shoot either in the tracks or sides
under every bush there should be an ivan with few at nades/tnts or a bazooka
krupp and witmanns never stand a bloody chance
also works with american joes
But you are right, you have to put lots of pressure on the KT's crew / player. There are so many ways to kill 99% of the "invincible" units. Depends on situation.
Stop playing 50000mp and 180cp and the problem is solved.

People have a tendency to forget that the armour is sloped at most places on the tank.
I recommend buying books from Thomas L Jentz as he is by far the biggest expert when it comes to german tanks during ww2 and he goes by original documents ofcourse.
