Modding textures and 3D models
So my question about textures, I manage to get diffuse texture but where is normal and specular maps for armor units or game not using them?

Another one, how do I extract 3d models from game since i need them in .obj or .fbx in order to effectively edit textures.

specular and bump might be found on texture/common/model/


You cannot open the model from the game unless you have the original .max of the model before it was exported into the game. If you want to edit textures, you will end up not editing them on 3dsmax, rather on plain photosho and testing them in-game.

You don't edit them in 3ds max however it allows to see result directly on model much faster than reloading everything in game. There is also many new tools for texture editing like Substance Painter where you can paint over 2d texture and see result on 3d model or directly paint over 3d model that allows remove many seams much faster +bunch of more advanced tools over Photoshop

I'm pretty sure there is way to get/rip models just like in all games...

yes, you can use 3d stripper to strip the 3d model of the tank, but that is just looping the loop. I haven't ever used this 3ds stripper software anyways, so I can't give you tips.
